MyWHTC clinic is extremely pleased to announce that Dr. Patrick Mwamba is now offering hair loss consultations in Berlin, Germany.  The consultations are being held on May 11, 2017.

These in-person appointments are great opportunities for any prospective hair loss patients to receive first-hand knowledge about their unique cases.  Dr. Patrick Mwamba is an expert in the field of medical hair restoration.

The best way to combat hair loss oftentimes involves more than one treatment method, and surgery should not be the first and only option.  With so many considerations to make, a prospective hair loss patient should seek ethical advice and know the limitations of medical hair restoration prior to making any decision about their treatment plan.

The first step to reserve an appointment and take advantage of this opportunity is calling +32 479753281 or emailing customer.care@mywhtc.com to contact our friendly patient care staff.

This thirty-five-year-old patient came to see Dr. Patrick Mwamba at MyWHTC where the front and hairline was treated with 3050 FUE by FIT grafts in one session. As a Norwood III, the patient has medium fine brown hair and fair skin with average donor density. Below are the six-month results produced by our well-experienced medical staff in Belgium, Europe. Prior to the procedure, we advised the patient of the importance of maximal medical therapy as hair loss is a progressive condition. The early growth is acceptable, and already the patient is happy with the noticeable improvement. The appearance of the regrowth will continue to improve over time. We can expect additional regrowth and more coverage to be visible in the next six months.

Men and women are both affected by hair loss as they mature over time. Some will eventually try products to maintain their hair and slow the progression of the hair loss. Through a cycling process, our hair actively grows for a given amount of time. Hair loss involves an acceleration of hair cycle due to shortening of the active hair growth phase. Through elongating the active hair growth phase, individuals can have longer, more robust hair. As the patient attempts to reverse the effects of hair loss with medical therapy, the aim is to reverse the miniaturization process and supply energy to hair in the resting phase.

Today, hair loss sufferers have procedures and hair loss products that provide hair restoration, but maintenance may provide the better solution to combat hair loss. MyWHTC clinic began performing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) over one year ago, but we now have the results and photos to present in detail. Noticeably improving patient outcomes through Dr. Patrick Mwamba’s protocols, we allow patients to see beyond despair. MyWHTC offers platelet-rich plasma as an alternative option to hair loss medication and hair transplant surgery.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a component of blood shown to encourage faster healing, and which promotes new growth of non-transplanted hair. This component also improves hair pigmentation and hair caliber over a series of applications. In our blood, we have white blood cells to fight infection, and platelets to accommodate tissue regeneration. PRP is essentially derived from each patient's own blood and involves separating the blood to form a significantly high concentration of platelets that contain many growth factors to promote faster healing, collagen synthesis, and new blood vessels. The three main benefits of PRP are stem cell binding, growth factor concentration, and tissue regeneration. Stem cells are stimulated to regenerate new tissue. PRP improves the overall aesthetics of patients’ scalp. Injections of PRP into the recipient area as well as the donor area is the delivery process.

This young female patient has light skin with dark hair and came for treatment of fronto temporal recession. Over three months, the patient received platelet-rich plasma treatment and shows improvement.

Three-month PRP results are noticeable in young male with alopecia in the vertex.

Dr. Patrick Mwamba of My World Hair Transplant Center treated this forty-plus-year-old Norwood six patient by transplanting 3200 FUE by FIT grafts in one session over multiple days.  The hairline was established to frame the face.  A conservative density was added to the front and top.  The patient will return for a second session to increase density and treat the crown.  Below are the results photos that show matured growth at about one year post-op.   We look forward to more progress in the near future.

Hair transplantation is not an exact science, but it is a unique process.  Putting hair in a new place to grow is exciting.  The clinic that you have chosen should be reputable and have results to show.  After surgery, the results take lots of time.  An eight-hour surgery takes patients about three weeks to heal.  At about eight weeks post-op, the transplanted hair will have fallen from the scalp.  The pinkness on the scalp typically lingers for one to three months and then gradually dissipates.  The hair might not show up until around six months post-op, so you have to  with the anxiety of seeing little growth.  You might show to be at fifty percent at 6 months post-op but with no certainty.  The eight to twelve-month time period will show eighty percent of growth or more.  Lastly, new hair will continue to grow in for up to twenty-four months.

There's no way to tell how one unique case may progress, but hair generally grows in a great variance in hair growth cycles.  Patience is the key.  Stay healthy, care for your scalp, and one day you may forget about what once didn’t exist.

This thirty-seven-year-old patient came to see Dr. Patrick Mwamba at MyWHTC where the frontal hairline and temple peaks were treated with 1240 FUE by FIT grafts in one session. The patient has coarse, curly black hair and dark skin with average donor density. Curly hair poses a significant challenge to implant due to its natural curvature that continues well beneath the skin. In order to successfully perform follicular unit extraction (FUE) in these particular cases, a high degree of dedication and strict preparation is required.

Below are the five-month results produced by our well-experienced medical staff in Belgium, Europe. The early growth is acceptable, and already the patient is happy with the noticeable improvement. The meticulous work involved in this case has done wonders for the patient’s confidence. We can expect even more coverage to be visible in the next seven months.

This patient had fronto temporal recession.
The diagnosis in such hair loss pattern in black woman is:
1.   Traction alopecia
2.   Female Hair loss pattern
3.   FFA (frontal fibrosing alopecia
4.   A combination of different causes

The patient related in her story an episode of burning scalp during perm.

After close examination of her scalp, her donor area looked OK, her scalp was normal (no erythema, no scaling, no hyperkeratosis at the base or exit of hair follicle, presence of ostium).

In black woman, I usually recommend first the strip technique. Because you can have a better control of grafts and avoid to damage them; they keep most of the time long hairs which can cover up any scar if it turns wide.

Results are natural as you can see in the following pictures.

Temples points work is very important in hair transplant surgery.
It helps to balance the face, especially if someone wants to lower his frontal hairline.
Technically it is a little bit challenging.
We need to create something not very strong but still defined. Selection of grafts is crucial to obtain a natural result. Most of the time we will choose the hairs from the nape area or temporal region.
Angulation has to be flat and density low. Otherwise it will look awkward.
