Follicular Isolation Technique (FIT) and Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) via Strip Excision together can usually produce more grafts that either procedure by itself. For patients with moderate to advanced hair loss who wish to restore their hair as quickly and effectively as possible, an FIT/Strip hybrid can work beautifully. Patients can come in for a large strip session and, rather than waiting a year until their scalp can yield another strip, they simply return the next day to begin a 1-2 day FIT session.
